Having travelled and lived in multiple cities, I've been fortunate to witness a myriad of beauty standards and techniques, and it led me to a particular passion: semi-permanent makeup.

After 4 years of rigorous training, certifications, and working under some of the industry's most respected names, I decided to create ILY EYEBROWS ARTIST, a sanctuary where one's natural beauty is enhanced and celebrated. What is Semi-Permanent Makeup?

Semi-permanent makeup, often termed cosmetic tattooing, is a modern beauty technique where pigments are meticulously introduced into the upper layers of the skin to enhance certain features, like eyebrows, lips, and even the eyelash line. Unlike traditional tattoos which are permanent, these procedures are designed to fade over time, giving clients the flexibility to update their look or return to their natural state.

The beauty of semi-permanent makeup lies in its subtlety. It's about enhancing the natural features, shaving minutes (if not hours) off daily beauty routines, and gifting individuals with renewed confidence. Whether it's restoring the appearance of lush eyebrows or adding a hint of colour to the lips, the aim is always to evoke one's inherent beauty.

What is Laser and Solution Removal?

Laser removal and solution removal are two professional methods used to safely fade or remove unwanted semi-permanent makeup or tattoo pigment from the skin.

Laser Removal works by sending controlled light energy into the pigment. The laser breaks the pigment into tiny particles, which the body then naturally clears over time. This method is especially effective for darker pigments and deeper ink and usually required multiple sessions, depending on the colour and depth of the pigment.

Solution removal (also known as non-laser or chemical removal) uses a specialized removal solution that is gently implanted into the skin. The solution binds to the pigment and draws it to the surface as the skin heals, gradually lightening or removing the ink. This method is often preferred for lighter pigments, cosmetic tattoos, or clients who are not suitable candidates for laser.

Both methods are safe and effective when performed by a trained professional. The best option depends on the pigment colour, depth, skin, type, and your desired results, which is why a consultation is essential.
